Chennai Super Kings struggled as they lost wickets at regular intervals against Kings XI Punjab in IPL 5 match against Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Punjab rocked Chennai's chase with quick strikes to reduce the defending champions to 98/6 in 14.4 overs.
Kings XI Punjab's Azhar Mahmood struck twice to scalp Faf du Plessis and Subramaniam Badrinath in IPL 5 match against Chennai Super Kings at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Mahmood dismissed Badrinath in his second when the batsman was caught on the square leg boundary.
Chasing 157-run target, Chennai got off to blistering start with a 47-run opening stand by Subramaniam Badrinath and Du Plessis in 5.3 overs. Du Plessis made 29 off 20 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes.
Earlier, Chennai Super Kings made a stunning fightback as their bowlers scalped six wickets in the last five overs to restrict Kings XI Punjab to 156/8.
Praveen Kumar and Parvinder Awana remained unbeaten on 6 and 0 respectively. Albie Morkel led Chennai's fightback, striking in his successive overs to dismiss David Miller, David Hussey and Piyush Chawla to dent Punjab's hopes of reaching huge total.
Kings XI Punjab have lost the momentum after the loss of Miller as they have added 29 runs in the last four overs. Dwayne Bravo gave Chennai Super Kings vital breakthrough by dismissing dangerous Azhar Mahmood.
Mandeep Singh scored a composed fifty in 44 balls to lead Punjab's innings after losing Marsh and Mahmood.
Mahmood was looking good as he smacked two huge sixes in his 18 runs innings before caught plumb in front of the wicket.
Shaun Marsh has been unlucky as he got run-out by Ravichandran Ashwin while backing up at the bowler's end. Mandeep Singh drove it powerfully straight back to Ashwin who got finger tips to it and the ball ricocheted onto the stumps.
Marsh was found well short after the umpire has gone upstairs. He played fine cameo, smashing four fours and a six in his 32 runs knock off 22 balls.
Punjab openers Mandeep and Marsh started off well by sharing 68-run stand in 8.1 overs to set the tone for Kings XI. The pair hammered boundaries all over the park, adding 43 runs in the first six overs of mandatory powerplay.
Earlier, Punjab stand-in-skipper David Hussey won the toss and opted to bat against Chennai in the 37th match of the tournament.
Adam Gilchrist has still not recovered from an injury and Hussey will continue to lead in his absence.
Chennai have made one change, bringing in Shadab Jakati in place of Yo Mahesh. Punjab included Bipul Sharma in place of Siddharth Chitnis.
