Ajay Devgn talks about his eco-conscious ways on Earth Day

Actor Ajay Devgn who’s finally back home in the city after shooting extensively in Punjab, says that the greenery of the luscious fields there is something that he’s missing already. “The stark change in the landscapes is hard to miss and I do wish that our kids got to see more of that greenery here too,” he says. But the greener environment is not something that the star just feels for.
In fact, Ajay strongly believes in doing his bit towards keeping it green too. His own house and farmhouse run on solar energy and the actor has recently invested heavily in a solar plant inGujarat too. But the investment’s not for financial reasons alone, insists Ajay. “It’s an investment for the future of a greener tomorrow,” he says. “If I was looking at making money, there are other profitable ventures that I could have considered. It’s not a money-making initiative for me, but a cause that I really believe in,” addsAjay.
Though the actor says that he’s not taken up the cause on a war-footing on the social front, he admits that as an individual he’s doing the best that he can. “You know it’s strange how everyone claims to be busy working for a good future. But unless we all take up our responsibility towards Earth and environment, there won’t be a future beyond say 40 to 50 years. So, yes we may have a good life till then, but what are we going to leave for our children?
They have an equal right to nature and it is up to us to ensure that our kids have the same access to water, fresh air… a healthy environment,” shares Ajay. “Why only Earth Day, we should do our bit for the earth every day. We owe it to our children,” he quips.
Meanwhile, the actor who will soon be seen in the hardcore action thrillerTezz with Kangana Ranaut and Anil Kapoor, dismisses all rumours of an apparent fall-out with co-star Kangana. “All that’s rubbish. There’s no trouble between her and me,” he clarifies. As for the excitement of doing all the adrenaline-pumping action sequences in the film, he admits that doing an out and out action flick does have its share of thrills and chills. “As an actor, it’s always exciting to push the envelope, more so with action as we have done in this film, but what makes Tezz all the more interesting is that the action revolves around a story and not the other way round,” says Ajay.
