- Royal Challengers Bangalore have recorded their third win in six matches in the present competition.

- Punjab have won two and lost four out of six played in IPL 5.

- Punjab became the second team after Pune Warriors to lose four games in the present tournament.

- Punjab (163/6) have recorded their highest total in the present edition of the IPL, surpassing the 160 for 9 against Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur on April 6.

- Mandeep Singh is the leading run-getter for Punjab in the IPL 5 - 132 at an average of 22.00 in six matches.

- Shaun Marsh (26 off 17 balls) has managed 131 at an average of 32.75 in five matches - the second-highest tally for Punjab in the IPL 5.

- Marsh is the only Punjab batsman to post a fifty in the IPL 5 - 64 not out off 54 balls against Pune Warriors at Mohali on April 12, 2012.

- David Hussey took his run-aggregate in Twenty20 to 4384 (ave.31.53) in 177 games - the most by a batsman in this format.

- Hussey's 41 off 34 balls is the second highest individual innings for Punjab in the present competition.

- Paul Valthaty is averaging 5.60 in the present competition - 28 runs in five innings.

- Daniel Vettori could claim just four wickets (ave.38.60) in six matches in the present competition.

- Azhar Mehmood, thanks to his 33 not out, is averaging 30-plus in Twenty20 - 2390 runs at 30.25 in 118 matches.

- Zaheer Khan's tally of seven wickets at 24.71 runs apiece in six matches is the second highest for Bangalore in the IPL 5. Muralitharan is the top wicket-taker in the preent edition - 8 at an average of 14.00 runs apiece in four matches.

- Mayank Agarwal is averaging 18.33 (110 in six innings) and Virat Kohli 18.83 (113 in six innings) in the present competition.

- Parvinder Awana (4/34) has produced his best performance in Twenty20 - his first four-wicket haul.

- Awana is the first Punjab bowler to take four wickets in an innings against Bangalore at Mohali in the IPL.

- Chris Gayle (87 off 56 balls) has posted his sixth fifty for Bangalore in the IPL.

- Gayle is averaging 61.00 for Bangalore in the IPL - 854 runs in 17 matches, including two centuries and six fifties.

- Gayle took his tally of sixes to 19 - the most in the present competition.

- Gayle's overall sixes tally of 89 is a record in the IPL.

- Gayle has managed 246 runs at an average of 49.20 in five matches in the IPL 5. Only Ajinkya Rahane has managed more runs than Gayle - 304 (ave.60.80) in six matches.

- Gayle, with his 18th Man of the Match award, has equalled a world record. Both Brad Hodge and Gayle have 18 MOM awards in Twenty20.

- Gayle has received his ninth Man of the Match award in the IPL. Only Yusuf Pathan (11) has received more awards than Gayle in the IPL.

- Gayle, Ajinkya Rahane and Brad Hodge have each received two MOM awards in the present competition.  

- Gayle and Abraham de Villiers put on 131 - Bangalore's highest fourth-wicket partnership in the IPL, outstripping the 87 between Jacques Kallis and Rahul Dravid against Delhi at Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi on April 30, 2008.

- In fact, the aforesaid partnership is the highest for any wicket for Bangalore in the IPL, surpassing the 126 (unbroken) for the second wicket between Jacques Kallis and Robin Uthappa against Mumbai Indians at Johannesburg on May 3, 2009.

- The aforesaid partnership is the sixth century stand for Bangalore in the IPL. Gayle is involved in five such partnerships.

- The 131-run stand is the highest fourth wicket partnership in the IPL history, surpassing the 128 between David Warner and Paul Collingwood against Kolkata at Delhi on March 29, 2010.

- Praveen Kumar is without a wicket in six games in the present competition, conceding 168 runs.

- Playing in his 50th game in the IPL, Abraham de Villiers has posted his seventh fifty.
